Good to know

·About 55 km each way, an hour of driving in each direction

·The walls ticket is around 10 euros per adult; the walk is on stone steps with no shade, so go early in summer and bring water

·Salt harvesting happens from July to September and visitors can join in; the rest of the year the pans are still worth seeing

·Oysters are served raw with lemon or grilled; the season for the best flavour is March to May, though they are available all year

Is the walk on the walls difficult?+

It is a steady climb on stone steps, about 40 minutes for the full stretch to Mali Ston, with no shade. You can also walk just the lower part and let the driver meet you at the other end.

Can we add Pelješac wine to the Ston trip?+

Yes. A tasting in Potomje adds about an hour and a half; choose it with the driver in the morning.

Is this a private tour?+

Yes. The vehicle and the driver are yours for the day; nobody else joins. You set the pace, the stops and the return time.

Is the price per person?+

No, the price is for the whole vehicle. A sedan takes up to 3 or 4 passengers and a van up to 8, so a family or two couples pay the same total.

Are entrance tickets and meals included?+

No. Entrance tickets, ferries for passengers where noted and meals are paid on the spot, so you only pay for what you actually visit. The driver knows the current prices and helps at the ticket desk.
